Sashay in San Juan :: Vacation in Puerto Rico

Old San Juan at night

Hey babes! I’m so giddy writing this post from Puerto Rico! I’ve had this beautiful destination on my travel list for years and decided to make it a reality in 2019!

Just days before my birthday I’ve been able to explore old San Juan, soak up the sun on the beach, eat mofongo in Condado, and find my center at the rainforest.

Ever since I was a young girl, Ive had a fascination with languages and would actually read, write, and watch cartoons in Spanish in an effort to become bilingual. Landing in Puerto Rico I had the chance to brush up on my Spanish!

My trip was everything I wanted and needed. I would definitely encourage others to visit Puerto Rico to not only continue helping the beautiful island grow and rebuild following hurricane Maria, but to also give yourself a chance to experience the culture.

HERE’S SNAPSHOTS OF MY ADVENTURE:

Trying shrimp mofongo for the first time in Condado at Orozco Restaurant.
Sightseeing the streets of Old San Juan.
Paseo de las Sombrillas is a HOT SPOT for instagram pictures!
This is the “Miami” building. Its an 8 story high rise apartment building that sits in the heart of Condado tourism district. Such a cool backdrop for my tropical look!

The Condado Vanderbilt hotel is a true gem in San Juan! They have amazing views of Condado beach! I love how this shot came out during our visit.
