You HAVE to visit Sevierville! My family and I would come to Tennessee often with my for fun weekend road trips.
Now as an adult for a fun weekend girls trip with my mom and niece the experience was even more special. Sightseeing, learning about the unique history and heritage of Sevierville, everything means more, compared to when I would visit as a kid and only wanted to find the closest water slide.
We stayed in Sevierville during a beautiful weekend in May.
WHERE TO STAY:
We stayed in the Lodge at Five Oaks; the hotel is perfectly located on the Parkway near all of the best shops and restaurants.
The hotel has an interesting background story of how it all came about with Dr. John W. Ogle, a medical doctor, once owning the farmland where the hotel is now.

Our weekend was jam packed with lots of things to see and do!
I loved visiting Downtown Sevierville! They have awesome places to eat! We stopped by Courthouse Donuts while out exploring and had a blast meeting the owner and learning more about the area.
This donut shop is like no other! You go in and they customize your donut and make it fresh to order!
I ordered chocolate, oreo, and m&m’s… it was delicious, affordable and filling!
Right across the street you will find the Courthouse and the popular Dolly Parton Statue. The life size statue is a must see!
When you see the statue and all of the amazing detail, it made me think of how special it is to have this replica of Dolly in her hometown.
BREAKFAST AT FLAPJACK PANCAKES:
We ate breakfast at Flapjacks Pancake Cabin in Sevierville.
The food was delicious! I ordered pancakes with whip cream and strawberry with cheese grits.
Another thing that I loved was how all of the drinks came in mason jars. Such a cute touch!
One activity I had a blast doing on our trip, was horseback riding, the Five Oaks Riding Stables were right next to the hotel Lodge at Five Oaks hotel.
I’ve ridden before and find it to be so relaxing. Our instructor took us through an hour-long trail ride with some of the most beautiful mountain views.
SHOPPING AT TANGER OUTLET:
We stayed right across the street from the Tanger Outlets in Sevierville! The prices are super reasonable, almost every store we went into had a sale going o and the variety of stores really impressed me.
The outlet had everything from J Crew to Aerie and American Eagle.
DINNER AT THE CHOP HOUSE:
For dinner we ate at the Chop House, if you plan to eat there make a reservation and plan ahead! I am so glad we did because the wait prior to our reserved time was close to an hour.
But the food is worth the wait! I ordered their seafood pasta with asparagus and alfredo sauce on the side. The food portion is very filling.
EXPLORING APPLEWOOD BARN:
We also went to the Applewood Barn and Cedar Mill on Apple Valley Rd.
We were like a kid in the candy store when we went there to visit.
The candles smelt amazing (I had to buy one), the food items were fresh and the craft items were so cute and custom.
I loved how you could shop and eat all in one place!
Overall our weekend girl’s trip to Sevierville was everything we imagined and more.
The mountain views, beautiful weather, and fun activities made for a great trip and a destination I would recommend for everyone to visit with family and friends.
