Ladies… you know the moment when you try on a new pair of jeans and they fit just right and you start having a mini music video moment in the dressing room. (just me? oh ok)
I love jean shopping! I have different styles, washes, and fits that I can wear.
I want to share 3 jean shopping tips with you that I use every time I go in store!
- Know your size!
This is a sizing chart normally used for retail. A lot of times when shopping you will look for a size 2 – 18, especially when it comes to jeans. But its a good idea to familiarize yourself with a chart like this because some retailers will have the bust or hip sizing listed and not exactly a size 2-18. Meaning when you look on the tag it could say size 38 which is a 12 and so on. So its a great idea to know your best fitting size when jean shopping.
2. Be open minded!
Jeans come in so many styles, washes and fits! There’s so many options to choose from, don’t limit yourself to just one style. I love jeggings, skinny jeans, and most recently have fallen in love with boyfriend fit. The boyfriend fit jeans look awesome with heels too! Had I not decided to try a different jean style I would’e never known I would grow to like it.
3. ASK AWAY!
There is no dumb question when it comes to jean shopping! Jeans are such a fashion staple. You will want to get all of your questions answered so that you can leave the store happy!
In the above photo I am wearing the Gap Sculpt jeans. When I went to the store in my home town to try them on I wasn’t sure of the material. I could tell it was a stretchy material, but the texture and the way the jeans felt were different to me. So I asked the associate for details on the jean fabric, how it handles being washed, any care tips I should know about, etc. The associate knew it all and sold me. I walked in with questions, left with answers and a shopping bag!
